Well, it’s been another GREAT couple of weeks in Poznań!! I’m so grateful to be here in this beautiful city!! Yesterday I was out of town doing legal work so my preparation day got moved to today!

Here’s a couple highlights:
TALENT SHOWS!!
One of the things I love about Poznań is that there’s always something crazy going on in the city! Siostra Godfrey and I were planning in the park the other day next to a fountain when we started hearing music from across the park.We looked over and auditions for Poland’s Got Talent were going on!!They had a full set of bleachers set up and dancers and singers in all kinds of costumes who took turns performing on the stage! 10/10 the best way to end a planning session haha!!

CULTURE NIGHT
For our culture night, we went with Marta and the Womack’s to the castle at Kórnik, about 30 minutes away from Poznań. It was so beautiful inside. Half the time I feel like I’m in a fairy tale land here—we’re literally surrounded by castles!!

FOURTH OF JULY PARTY!!
On the Fourth of July, we planned to have a big English class celebration and we worked really hard to prep for it–we invited everyone we could think of, prepped for a barbeque complete with burgers, chips, and all the toppings, and prepped some fun America trivia for class. We set a (somewhat high) goal of 15 people to come. And not only did we surpass our goal, we had 6 brand new people come!! It was such an awesome success and just the perfect way to celebrate 🙂

ZONE CONFERENCE
We had Zone Conference last week and we got to meet our new mission president, Prezydent Chandler! Both he and Sister Chandler are AMAZING and I am so excited for what is to come! They both served their first missions in Poland almost 30 years ago, and now they’re here again!

At Zone Conference we talked about our personal relationships with Christ!! Before we can help anyone else come closer to Christ, we first have to have a relationship with him. And the more we work on our relationship with him, the more we can share His light with the people around us! We also accepted a challenge: starting last Monday to read the Book of Mormon in 40 days! We are just over a week into the challenge now, and I can say truly have never been so happy and so at peace as when I study the Book of Mormon everyday. Scriptures that I have read and heard before jump out at me in new ways, and I am learning so much!!

This week we also had a leadership meeting in Warsaw where we talked a lot about teaching and finding people by the Spirit. It was amazing because halfway through the meeting we took half an hour to go out into the street and put what we were learning into practice! We didn’t have any amazing conversations during that time, but I felt so spiritually renewed after!! It was great!

BACK TO THE BEGINNING :’)
And this weekend, I took a 6-hour train ride back down to the city I started in—Katowice—to do legal work!! And the great news is everything went well so I’m good to stay in Poland!! 🙂

I say this over and over, but I am SO GRATEFUL to be here in Poland sharing this beautiful message. We have a Heavenly Father who loves us and knows us individually. He knows our hopes, our dream, our desires, and our weaknesses, and He wants us to succeed!! We have the ultimate older brother, Jesus Christ, who lived and died for us. Because of Jesus Christ, we don’t have to go through any part of life alone—He is always by our side! Naprawdę wiem, że On zawsze jest blisko❤️

Kocham was tak mocno!! I love you all!! Have a wonderful week!!

Friends we’re teaching:
– We’ve officially started doing skype lessons with some of the people we’re teaching!! On Sunday we had a skype lesson with one of the sweet girls we’re teaching, and honestly it was one of the best lessons we’ve probably ever had with her. She is young but she has continually read the Book of Mormon over the last several months and is almost at the end of 2 Nephi. For this last lesson she kept her commitment to read Nephi 29 and she was ready with a bunch of really amazing questions. What was even cooler was at the end of the lesson, we had her explain to us what the Bible is, what the difference between the Old and the New testament are, and how the Book of Mormon is a Second witness of Christ. It was amazing to see how much knowledge and what a beautiful testimony she has gained of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and of the Book of Mormon. I am so excited for her!! The Gospel of Jesus Christ is SO life changing!

And YES, as the title of this email suggests, we did become part of a Catholic parade (kind of). What really happened is that we were heading home on Friday and we were almost at our tram stop when a huge and I mean HUGE crowd of people started coming up the street. The literally hundreds a of priests and nuns and other people came down the street and there were so many people that we were literally pushed along. The trams were stopped all the way down the street. A ways down he street, everyone in the crowd started singing hymns together. it was probably one of the most beautiful things I have ever been a part of. It was one of those moments when you realize where you are and you are just so grateful!! And truly, I am so grateful for the mission. I am so grateful I get to share this beautiful message.

I love you all!! I hope you have a wonderful week!! Kocham was!!!

-This week we had our LAST Zone Conference with Prezydent and Siostra Turek. They are both truly amazing and they will be so missed. At zone conference we talked about the Atonement of Jesus Christ. One of my favorite scriptures that was discussed is 1 Corinthians 15:22 –
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
And I know that this is true!! Because of Christ, we know that death is not the end. Through Jesus Christ and his Atonement, we can all be made alive!

This week, our district in Poznań is splitting up! Starszy Wagley has finished his mission and is on his way home, and Starszy Posacki is headed off to Szczeczin, which means we don’t have Elders in Poznań, just Sisters!! These next few weeks are going to be an awesome adventure!

I love you all!! I hope you all have a wonderful week!

This week was a great one to be in Poznań- the weather has been pretty hot and humid recently and we’ve been busy!!

A couple highlights from this week:
We had our first sports night of the summer on Saturday and it was so successful!!! We had a few branch members, a few people we’re teaching, and some new friends we met contacting recently come!! We played volleyball and frisbee and it was such a good time:)

On Wednesday we had a leadership meeting (Called MLC) in Warsaw and it was amazing 🙂 Prezydent and Siostra Turek are so inspired!! It was also a really sad MLC because it was our last one with Prezydent Turek!! We’re getting a new mission President, Prezydent Chandler at the the beginning of July!!

I love you all!! I hope you all have a wonderful week!!

Hej cześć friends and fam!! Hope you all have had a wonderful week!!
Here’s a couple highlights of this week:

This week we also got to volunteer at Parkrun, an organization that sponsors free 5ks every single week. We were in charge of directing the runners so they would all stay on course- it was pretty funny because Siostra Godfrey and I were cheering really loudly (for everyone that ran by- and usually Polish people don’t really cheer until the end of the race!! Several people came up to us afterward and we got to share who we are and what we do 🙂

On Saturday we had our branch barbeque/ picnik and it was SO MUCH FUN!! We bought several of pizzas, drinks, cookies, and salads, and went to one of the beautiful outdoor parks here in Poznań and played football (with an authentic American football!), frisbee, badminton, and a bunch of other games. The time went wayyy too fast!!

We also went out this week to Park Cytadela and drew the Plan of Salvation out in chalk this week, and Emyla (from the Poznań branch!) and Michal (visiting from Lublin!) came out and helped us. We had several awesome conversations!!

This week was a little bit slower of a teaching week because most of our people are either taking exams or going home for the summer. We’re going to keep on teaching some through skype, but this also means we’re going to be out talking to people and finding people to teach! 🙂
I hope you all have a great week! This gospel, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, is TRUE! I love you all!! Kocham was!

Hejka!! Hope you all have had a wonderful week!! Thank you for the sweet birthday wishes last week. 🙂 My birthday was wonderful!!
We had transfers this last week, and for the first time ever, I’m STAYING in a city more than a transfer. Siostra Aramaki and Siostra Gornichec headed off to Łódź and Gdańsk, and I was assigned a new companion – Siostra Godfrey! Sister Godfrey and I were in the same mission zone when I started my mission in Katowice and we even went on splits together once when I visited Krakow. We’ve already had some great adventures and teaching experiences this week and I can tell it’s going to be another amazing couple of months in Poznań!!

Today I want to share a quick thought from a devotional address I read this week given by Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin, titled “The Two Guiding Lights”. In this devotional, he explains that the Savior has given us two great beacons of light in our lives to help guide us through the storms of life. These two great lights are the first and second commandments. In Matthew chapter 22:37-38, we read:
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
https://speeches.byu.edu/talks/joseph-b-wirthlin_two-guiding-lights/
In these few short sentences, the Savior has provided us a foundation for everything we think, say, and do as disciples of Jesus Christ. When loving God and loving our neighbor is at the core of everything we do, we find increased direction and peace in our lives. Truly, we find ourselves when we lose ourselves in service—at least that’s what I’m discovering!! 🙂

I love you all! Thank you for your love and support for me! Although sometimes I can’t respond to every email, know that I read every single one and I am so grateful for you all. I hope you have a wonderful week!!!

With Karol and Tosia!! They’re the BEST! Hej cześć family and friends! Jak tam!? It’s been an exciting crazy fun couple of weeks to be in Poznań!!!
Okay so to start, we have our smartphones now!! Many of you might have noticed that I’m back on Facebook and Messenger! Our mission is now authorized to use online tools to help us do missionary work! This won’t change anything about communication (still emails on P-days!), but I’m so excited to see how this great change will help hasten the Lord’s work! 🙂

Siostra Aramaki and I hit our 8-month mark together! We’ve had some amazing meetings with people we’re teaching recently:
- We had an awesome lesson with a girl we’re teaching this last week and she decided she wants to prepare to be BAPTIZED on June 22. Step by step, she’s building her faith in Christ as she is reading the Book of Mormon and praying. I’m so excited to see the changes she’s making in her life as she prepares for baptism!
- We had a great meeting with a less-active member yesterday after they came to church. We talked about the importance of Prophets and how amazing it is that we have a living Prophet today. The world might change over time, but the Lord never changes- throughout history, He has always called prophets on the earth to serve as the mouthpieces for God on earth!
- And we had another meeting with Nikola and her mom! We talked about the Plan of Salvation, meaning God’s plan for us. I’m so grateful I get to share such a beautiful topic with so many people!
And funny language moment: This week, as we were teaching Sunday School, I meant to say I was very thankful for something (Jestem bardzo wdzięczna). Instead, and without even realizing it I said: “Jestem bardzo dzięki“, which means “I am very thanks!!!” I couldn’t figure out why my companions were laughing but when they told me afterward we all laughed pretty hard! 🙂 Learning polish is such an adventure!

With Bożena I was reading an Ensign magazine this week, and I came across an article that I’ve been thinking about ever since. God is the ultimate artist! There aren’t very many people who can sit down with a blank piece of paper and draw a beautiful landscape. I, for sure, can’t! But God is the creator. He is the ultimate artist. Not only did he create everything around us in beautiful 3-D, but he also created people, with all of our differences, personalities and talents. Not only did He create us, but He is our literal Father in Heaven and He allows us to call Him Father. He loves us and He knows each one of us so individually. And for that, I am so grateful.

Walking down the streets of Poznań I hope you all have a wonderful week! Kocham was!

Hej cześć friends and family! This week I want to share an awesome teaching experience:
We just started teaching a great guy who heard about the missionaries, but didn’t take action until much later. Two years ago, he met the missionaries and played frisbee with them one day, and then just two weeks ago he remembered that the missionaries also teach a free English class. He showed up for the first-time last week and then participated in our religious discussion afterwards. During our discussion, he accepted a copy of the Księga Mormona and scheduled to meet with us the following week. Our first lesson with him was this last week and he was very prepared with some great questions likes: “Why do you believe in God? Why do you believe in Jesus Christ? Why are you a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? Why not another Church?”

I am so grateful for the knowledge that I have that YES, there is a God—we have a Heavenly Father who loves us and knows us individually by name. YES, Jesus Christ is the Savior! And YES, the same Church that Jesus Christ established when He was on the earth has been restored and is on the earth again today! I don’t just know these things because they have been written in the scriptures or they have been spoken of in Church. I know these things because I have searched for the answers, and I have felt the confirmation that these things are true! In The Book of Mormon from Alma Chapter 32, we can read about an ancient American prophet Alma who compares faith to a seed:

“Now, we will compare the word unto a seed. Now, if ye give place, that a seed may be planted in your heart, behold, if it be a true seed, or a good seed, if ye do not cast it out by your unbelief, that ye will resist the Spirit of the Lord, behold, it will begin to swell within your breasts; and when you feel these swelling motions, ye will begin to say within yourselves—It must needs be that this is a good seed, or that the word is good, for it beginneth to enlarge my soul; yea, it beginneth to enlighten my understanding, yea, it beginneth to be delicious to me.”
and then in verse 33 he explains:
“And now, behold, because ye have tried the experiment, and planted the seed, and it swelleth and sprouteth, and beginneth to grow, ye must needs know that the seed is good.”
If we want to find answers to the questions our new friend had, whether the Gospel is true, first we need to have the desire to know. We have to really want it and be willing to work for our answer! And then, as we strive to listen to the word of God, to read the scriptures, to pray, and to ponder, we will receive our answer. I know this is true because I have taken Alma’s experiment myself! And I have received a personal witness that these things are true. The Spirit was so strong as we testified to this man that we CAN receive answers to our hard questions—all it takes is us having the desire and the willingness to try.
I love this gospel, and I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to share this life-changing message. I love you all! Bardzo was kocham! I hope you have a wonderful week! 🙂

Hej cześć friends and family!
As I consider my missionary experiences from this past week, I feel greatly blessed to be serving in Poznañ with my two companions—Sister Gornichec and Sister Aramaki. We kept ourselves busy with teaching appointments and meetings, we spent time reflecting on the last week of the Savior’s mortal life, and we celebrated with the Saints of Poznañ the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! 😊

Here are a few highlights:
We had a terrific meeting with the sweetest girl we’re teaching. Our conversation focused on God’s plan for us as His children, and our purpose in life! We also talked about the meaning of the Atonement and how powerful it can be when we apply it to our own lives. The Spirit was so powerful as we testified of the power of the Atonement and the peace it brings!
Several people we are teaching are steadily progressing and it’s amazing to see them week after week, as they keep their commitments, read the Book of Mormon, pray, and grow so much spiritually! 😊
For our service project this week, we visited a non-profit hospicjum (hospice) here in Poznań. The staff and residents are preparing for a huge festival the first couple days of May where, as their fundraiser for the year, they will sell hand-crafted and painted butterflies. Our project was to assemble and glue each butterfly. It was awesome!

On Sunday, I spoke in Sacrament Meeting on some of the varied and distinctly meaningful titles of Christ including Savior, Redeemer, Prince of Peace, Son of God, and Son of Man—and on how His Atonement and Resurrection are the greatest gifts we will ever know. It was the first time I wrote my talk in Polish (up to this point, I have written them in English first and then translated them into Polish). I felt especially fluent and was grateful to share my testimony with the members and guests of the Poznañ branch. In addition to this week’s special assignment of speaking, one of my regular weekly responsibilities is pianist for the congregation so I stayed quite busy during the meeting.
As I was preparing my talk, I found a General Conference address by President Ezra Taft Benson from October 1985. Included below are a few favorite sections:
“Yes, Christ changes men, and changed men can change the world…Men changed for Christ will be captained by Christ. Like Paul they will be asking, “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?” (Acts 9:6) Peter stated, they will “follow his steps.” (1 Peter 2:21.) John said they will “walk, even as he walked.” (1 John 2:6.) Finally, men captained by Christ will be consumed in Christ. To paraphrase President Harold B. Lee, ‘they set fire in others because they are on fire…Not only would they die for the Lord, but more important they want to live for Him…Enter their homes, and the pictures on their walls, the books on their shelves, the music in the air, their words and acts reveal them as Christians.”

‘Lucie‘ (Little Girl Drawing the Sun in the Sky) by David Mesguich, Poznań, Poland Dearest friends and family,
It’s been another amazing week to be a missionary in Poland! Here are some highlights:
-We found out our mission is getting smartphones in a few weeks (No more little brick Nokia phones… WAHOO!!!) It’s going to be a total game changer for missionary work and we can’t wait! Group messages, Facebook, google translate—anything is possible! 🙂
I promised I would talk about the amazing people we’re teaching more, so this week I’ll tell ya’ll about Ola! Ola is the cutest young mom from Ukraine who has been learning about the Gospel of Jesus Christ for the last few months. She has such a beautiful spirit and always asks the best questions. This last week, we taught her about living prophets and watched one of President Nelson’s talks from General Conference with her in Ukrainian (I couldn’t understand anything, yet the Spirit was still SO STRONG!). Right away, she said that President Nelson was a wise man and Ola decided to pray more to know if he is really a prophet of God. I’m so excited for her to get her answer! 🙂

This week I’ve been absolutely awestruck by the way the Lord leads us to the right place at the right time if we just listen. We were coming home one night and were already in our apartment building when we met the cutest 13-year old—Nikola—and her mom. We were exactly in the right place to help them with something they really needed; and afterwards, they invited us to their apartment. We had the absolute best conversation and got to testify of Christ, that He knows us so individually and that He will put the right people in our lives when we need them. The next day they invited us back and we gave them Books of Mormon, shared our favorite verses, and taught them about the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Meeting them was a total MIRACLE and was the total highlight of an already great week!

General Conference was this last weekend and it was AMAZING!! If you didn’t get a chance to watch it (or if you want to listen to it again!) you can check it out on churchofjesuschrist.org! I especially loved Elder Brooke P. Hales’ talk. He reminded us that God knows everything—He knows the past, the present and the future, and that sometimes the answer you get to a request is a ‘no’ in favor of a later, better ‘yes’! I testify that what he said is true!

Hey y’all!
This week was my last week of transfer #6. Change is good but stressful too. It takes forever to get used to new areas, new companions, and new weather; although here in Snowflake it is cool and beautiful!
We have continued teaching many good families here in the area. We had 5 people come to church on Sunday this past week. It was amazing to see how these young people are deciding to change their lives. This is what we should be doing too. Changes can take place all the time and hopefully for the better. For those who are desirous to change, the Book of Mormon is the perfect place to start:
In Alma 34:18-26 we read:
“Cry unto Him for mercy
Humble yourselves
Cry unto Him in your fields, over all your flocks
Cry unto Him against your enemies
Cry unto Him against the devil
Cry unto Him over the crops of your fields
Pour out your souls in your closets and your secret places and in your wilderness.”
And if you want to change even more then the Lord has more counsel for us:
Alma 34:28:
Do not turn away the needy or the naked
Visit the sick and the afflicted
Impart of your substance
“For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors.” Alma 34:32

It’s awesome to know that there is a God who loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to be our example and to help us change from the inside out.
“The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take the people out of the slums. Christ would take the slums out of people, and then they would take themselves out of the slums. The world would mold men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature.” (Ezra Taft Benson)
I continue to be grateful for the experiences I have every day that help me see how I can change for the best. Changes take place all the time.
Thank you all for the continued love and support you have shown me.
I love and care for you all.
Good luck this week and talk soon!✌️ ❤️ 😊 😃

Hola a todos!
This past week was awesome. We met with so many member families that it was hard to keep track of all of them in my head. The work here in Snowflake Arizona is progressing quickly. We have received many thank you’s from members around the area. My companion Elder Ragan has been in this area for three months. I am relying on his knowledge until I get acquainted with the area and begin to learn everyone’s names.
I know that with time, it will get better. It helps that many members invite my companion and I out to lunch. Also, they ask us to help them out with service opportunities.

My favorite part about this past week was visiting with a young man we are helping get out of the house and do activities outdoors. He likes to stay indoors and play video games. I completely understand him because I was the same mindset until I came out on my mission. I realized that there are more important things in life than to just sit and waste time in front of the TV. My mission has helped me grow spiritually, mentally and physically. I am glad to be out on a mission at this time. Time flies when you are focused on the work of the Lord.
I look forward to the day when I return with honor, but until then, I must be focused on the work.
I am grateful for all of you! I have received so many notes from many of you that encourage me to keep going. I am grateful for my family. I love you all.

To Play or Not To Play – That is the Question

Howdy Y’all!
This week was an amazing spiritual experience for me. We visited so many families. We have continued to teach people who are interested in hearing our message. Among them are some whose last names include Baldwin, 😲 😳. It’s Crazy!!! So many Baldwins live up here in Snowflake Arizona, and I don’t even know if I am related to any of them. I will soon find out though.

George Washington Presides over the Federal Constitutional Convention of 1787 The 4th of July was a blast 💥 🎆. I am grateful for the freedoms that we enjoy in our country. Long ago, an early Church leader named Brigham Young taught: “The Constitution of the United States is a glorious standard; it is founded in the wisdom of God. It is a heavenly banner; it is to all those who are privileged with the sweets of liberty, like the cooling shades and refreshing waters of a great rock in a thirsty and weary land. It is like a great tree under whose branches men [and women] from every clime can be shielded from the burning rays of the sun.”

My companion and I attended a 4th of July Rodeo in Taylor, Arizona! We had permission to go because we were with some friends who are learning about our Church. The Rodeo is an exciting and dangerous place. Sadly, while we were there, we watched a bull rider fall and get trampled. The bull began to dance on the cowboy’s back, but the amazing thing is that all his friends came to his rescue. Hopefully he will be fine. Good friends can save our lives in many different ways—not just at the rodeo, but in other places. Rescues are often spiritual too.

We also saw the Show Low American Flag Calvary come into the arena to begin the rodeo. Those guys can ride fast! It’s crazy in my opinion. Sunday evening, we watched fireworks with the Mulder Family. They have a store where they sell fireworks. Let me tell you that the fireworks they sell are like no other.
During the week, we brought a children’s Book of Mormon to one of the families we are teaching. They seem very interested in taking the missionary lessons. They have 5 kids which is awesome because that means 5 more testimonies can begin to be built on the foundation of Jesus Christ.

Thanks for all you do for me. I pray for you and hope you will be richly blessed as I continue serving my mission. I love you all and have a blessed week! 💛✌️ 😎
Last but not least, a quick SHOUT OUT to my cousin DIEGO HIDALGO who will be leaving for his mission soon. Diego, I want you to know I love you man. I am so proud of you for making the decision to serve. You will love it, I promise you!

Hola a todos!
This week flew by so fast. It’s Monsoon season y’all! Finally, I see rain after being out for 9 months! The mountain breeze feels nice and different. Something I have learned out here on the mission is that when we pray with faith for miracles, we must expect them to happen. It’s amazing to know that God is a God of miracles.
I had a miracle experience recently while shopping at Walmart. I was shopping for groceries and as I arrived at the self-checkout, I heard a nearby voice: “Hey Wait! Let me get that for you.” The voice belonged to a mother of two children. She shared with me that one of her kids is currently serving a mission and she wanted to show appreciation by buying my food for me. I felt strongly that the choice she made was a fulfillment of my faith to see a miracle. I have recently learned that if we want to see miracles, then we must expect them to happen.
On a different subject, we’ve had many great lessons mostly with members because almost everyone here in Snowflake is a member – either active or less active. We are working with the less active members to help them remember their covenants with the Lord and return to the covenant path. The challenge is many of these less-active members do not want to come back to Church activity and fellowship, which is sad for me. When an investigator says: “Please don’t come back,” it makes me feel disappointed. This Gospel is the greatest thing that has ever happened in my life. I want those feelings for other people too. What can you do? The best thing to do is to share with them as much of the Gospel as possible and hopefully one day they will decide to come back. Many blessings can come to those who choose to come back into the church. The Church provides protection and a good foundation for what is good.

I finally hit 9 months on my mission. My mom says that—metaphorically speaking—I was just reborn as a missionary. I was born as a missionary when I was called, and now I am reborn. It’s amazing to feel that I am getting older in the mission minute-by-minute. I feel every new month as a missionary is a rebirth in a sense. I feel I can start over each new month to become a better missionary than I am right now. It takes time to grow spiritually and mentally. That is why we have our Savior Jesus Christ to help us out. In John chapter 3, the Savior discusses this idea of rebirth with Nicodemus:
“[Nicodemus] came to Jesus and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God…That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
We have been working with a family—a mom and dad with four children—who decided to buy Sunday clothing so they can attend Church. I think that’s amazing! The father loves the Church and wants his kids to take the missionary lessons. I feel this family will be progressing quickly to the point where they will be a new member family and will begin their journey on the covenant path. The children love missionaries and are always excited when we come to visit them. The excitement of the children made me realize that this is how we should feel when Jesus Christ comes again to reign and rule over the Earth again.
Thanks to all of you for being great family members and friends who follow me and walk with me as I have been out on my mission. I love you all and am looking forward to the next few months.
Good luck this week and Buena Suerte!!

Hola a todos!
This week was awesome! My testimony of the Plan of Salvation, the Gospel, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has continued to develop. I have learned so much while I have been out here, and I continue to grow in different areas. For the longest time, I have been the quiet person in the companionship, but I recently decided I want to speak up more and share my beliefs about Jesus Christ. I am very grateful for the knowledge I have gained so far and the growth I have experienced.
Our mission is gaining momentum and will continue to do so. More and more people want to get closer to Jesus Christ through us. We are His hands. We do His work so He can change us for the better. I really love the saying: “We leave our families for two years so others can be with their families for eternity.” That is so true!
My companion’s birthday—Elder Ragan—was Monday, June 21st. He said it was a great birthday. We played pickleball, sang happy birthday to him, and celebrated him in the cultural hall at the church. To make him feel special, we came into the room two-by-two singing and celebrating.
This P-day was very exciting!. We went fishing and I caught a trout! Never thought I would be fishing during our preparation day, but I am grateful for the moments we have of relaxation and enjoyment that make our missions awesome, cool, and very unique. There are some Mission experiences you can’t get anywhere else.

This week’s scripture is 3rd Nephi 5:13:
“Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of Him to declare His word among his people, that they might have everlasting life.”
It is true; we do declare the word of the Lord so others can have eternal life.
Thank you all for your love, support, and care. Love ya’ll ❤️ ✌️ 😎 🙏

Hola a todos,
I have to say Snowflake Arizona is the place to be this time of year. It’s like 75-80 degrees! Beautiful weather in my opinion.
This was a long week. The work is going great here in Snowflake. I had the chance to meet so many good people including a Baldwin clan! What are the chances of this happening? 🤔 it’s crazy to think there are Baldwin families up in Snowflake.

I am grateful for the opportunity to understand a bit more about my mission and the role of a missionary each day. I attended three different wards this Sunday. It was awesome to feel the spirit so strongly three different times and I even gave a prayer in the Snowflake 6th Ward to start the meeting off.

I am grateful for my new Companion Elder Ragan. He is a beast 💪 of a missionary. I have learned from him that numbers don’t matter on a mission, it’s the people who continue to have a desire to grow closer to God the Father through His son Jesus Christ. I invite all to reach out to your friends and ask if any service can be done for them because I know that through service friendships can be made.
I love you all and Wish y’all the best this week.
Buena Suerte!

Finding out I would be heading up to the mountains to a town called Snowflake made me a bit sad. Needless to say, this week was an emotional one. I like this area of Camelback, and I am going to miss it. I had wonderful experiences and I am grateful for all of them. I met great people and made many friends as well.
The mountains are a special place. I cannot explain how grateful I am to be back up in the mountains where the weather is cooler. I feel blessed I can be away from the heat of the valley of Arizona for some time.

In Mosiah 2:17, King Benjamin teaches: “And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.” This scripture means a great deal to me because I know that when we as members of the Church are serving others, we are serving God.
Thanks for all the love and support shown to me!

Hola a todos!
This was an eventful week. To start off, we visited members to find out how they were doing. As a missionary, one of our responsibilities is to involve the members in the work. By doing so it’s so much easier to find and bring those who are looking for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to His Church. Member involvement is a big part of our work.
This past week we went to visit the Ramos family. They own a store called Desert Discounts. I have to say that these people put in a lot of work! I have never seen such good people who besides working hard every day, set time aside for the Lord. When we set time aside for the Lord, we receive blessings upon blessings of happiness, and joy.
Pedro, a young man in the Camelback Branch, took my companion and I out to lunch to Panera Bread. Man ohh man! The food was good but slightly on the expensive side. That shows to me that members are looking out for missionaries by helping them. We are grateful for the love and care we receive in this area.

Every Sunday my companion plays the piano at church. As missionaries we serve in different capacities. Sharing our talents unites us with others and blesses our lives. There is this kid named Eli at church and he is such a cool kid! He looks up to me and each Sunday he says: “Can I have your name tag? I want to be a Missionary!” Isn’t that just so cool! This kid wants to be a missionary just like me. It makes me realize how important it is to be a good example. Every time I walk into Primary—the children’s organization of the church—he runs right over to sit next to me. I can just picture Jesus Christ doing that to all of us— just running over to sit next to us. The Savior loves us with pure love.
I appreciate the cards and notes I have received. You guys are the best. Now that I am on my 8th month in the mission, I am starting to figure out how to do missionary work the best way. What’s awesome is that we are now having more people interested in hearing the messages we have to share. Of course, there are those who don’t have time for us, but we continue with faith putting the Lord first.

“If all men had been, and were, and would ever be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of Hell would have been shaken forever”. Let us all try to be like Moroni. I encourage and invite each of you to reach out to the Missionaries in your area and go on visits with them. Trust me, if we work together on this, the very powers of Hell will indeed be Shaken forever. TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK!!
Thanks for the love and support y’all! I love all the updates in the letters I receive. Continue sending me letters! Farewell and may God be with you all until next week 🙏 ❤️ ✌️ 😎

Hola a todos,
This week was amazing! We had the chance to visit the Mesa Arizona Temple. It was a great experience. The session was spiritually uplifting, and I want to return as soon as I can! As I arrived at the Temple, I felt a strong feeling come over me telling me that this was the place to be at that time. Indeed, the Temple holds all the Riches of Faith you can receive in this lifetime.

As I kept pondering about my visit to the temple the scripture in Doctrine and Covenants 89:18-21 came to mind:
And all saints who remember to keep and do these sayings, walking in obedience to the commandments, shall receive health in their navel and marrow to their bones; and shall find wisdom and great treasures of knowledge, even hidden treasures; and shall run and not be weary, and shall walk and not faint. And I, the Lord, give unto them a promise, that the destroying angel shall pass by them, as the children of Israel, and not slay them. Amen.
Although this scripture is found in the revelation of the Word of Wisdom, and the blessings and promises mentioned are directly the result of our obedience to these instructions, it became clear to me that these blessings can be ours as we attend the temple also.
I invite you to visit the temple often and harvest the Riches of your Faith.

Always remember that we are not here forever. Eventually we must return to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. To do so, we must obey his commandments and stay on the straight and narrow path. In my studies this past week I read Mosiah 2:41:
And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it.
This scripture talks about the Riches of Faith we can receive if we endure to the end:
- Happiness
- Blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual
- Dwell with God at the end of our lives in a state of never-ending Happiness.
We have been teaching a young man named Daniel. He is a great young man!. He is about 20-years old. We taught him the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ and The Plan of Salvation, and it seems to me he wants to move forward with his lessons. He also came to church on May 15, 2022. I feel like he enjoyed the meeting and felt the Spirit strongly.

Sometimes I wonder if the Lord is happy with my service, and this week I had a moment in which I felt confident that the Lord is happy with my best. The feeling came as I ordered a Chick-fil-A sandwich meal. Much to my surprise, my order included an extra order of fries. As I received the order, I felt gratitude and joy and, in my mind, I exclaimed: “What a marvelous blessing from the Lord!” That day I needed a lift. And although it might seem silly, it was then that I felt the Lord was watching over me. At that moment, I felt He is truly happy with my part, and it was a good reminder that answers to our questions can come when we least expect them. Let’s remember that our best is what the Lord wants.
Thanks for all the love, support and prayers for me. I am doing well and healthy. I am about to come up on my 8th month in the field! Isn’t that just crazy! Last I remember, I was at the MTC singing Called To Serve in the main meeting room with 60 other Elders at the MTC (Missionary Training Center).
I love you all and hope you enjoy these pictures! Buena Suerte esta semana!✌❤😎

Harvesting the Richness of Your Faith

Hola familia!
This week was awesome! We had a Baptism on Saturday. Our young friend finally got Baptized. This marks my second Baptism in the Mission. We could not have had this special occasion without the help of the Holy Ghost, because He is the one who converts the soul to become more like Jesus Christ. The process of conversion doesn’t happen right away. It takes time. This is one of the reasons we teach 5 or more lessons and encourage individuals to pray and ask God in the name of Jesus Christ if Baptism is the right thing to do and if it’s something they really want.
On Sunday, our new convert received the Gift of the Holy Ghost. It’s such a cool experience to see someone so young choose to follow Jesus. Teaching Damion was special to me. While teaching him the Plan of Salvation, he always was very enthusiastic and loved learning. At the end of every lesson. he would ask “Can I get baptized now?”
His baptism was a special occasion for sure! His Grandmother was teary-eyed as she enjoyed watching her grandson making covenants with God. Also, I think she enjoyed the feelings of peace and love that the Holy Ghost brought as the ordinance was performed. Right before his baptism he said: “When am I getting baptized? Can I get baptized today?” And after his baptism, he said: “I feel happy I got baptized.”
As children of our Heavenly Father, we have privileges. One such blessing is the opportunity to bless and receive blessings through the priesthood. My companion and I had the opportunity to give Damion a blessing so he could be successful in school. I could see that he and his Grandmorther were very happy.

My desire for Damion is for him to be happy and to prepare himself to go on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints one day. To do so, he has to stay committed to going to church every Sunday. He has told me multiple times: “I want to be a missionary just like you Elder Baldwin.” I feel he is a promising child for the future of the Church.
Both of us are children of God. We help each other grow and learn a bit more each day. As a missionary, I am mentoring many who are younger than me and I encourage them to go on missions as well.
Learning about the Savior in my youth was a great blessing. One important principle I learned back when I was in Primary was to come unto Jesus Christ by following the prophet here on earth. The Primary song “Follow the prophet” teaches us that all of us can follow the prophet and come unto the Savior by reading and studying our scriptures each day and praying. One of my favorite scriptures is Alma 37: 36-37:
“Yea, and cry unto God for all thy support; yea, let all thy doings be unto the Lord, and whithersoever thou goest let it be in the Lord; yea, let all thy thoughts be directed unto the Lord; yea, let the affections of thy heart be placed upon the Lord forever.
Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.”
This is such a powerful scripture because it talks about the power of prayer. We all need blessings in our lives and to receive these blessings, we must pray for them. Before I came out to serve, I prayed to the Lord often to be blessed and to have a good experience. He has answered my prayers and I have loved every experience in mission so far. I can say that choosing to come out on a mission has blessed my life forever.

This week we had a mission tour by Elder Alonzo of the Quorum of the Seventy. It was a blast!! He encouraged us to stay on the path and to continue our missions. I felt like I connected with what he shared very well, and I enjoyed the strong spirit of the meeting.

We also saw the Eclipse (Blood Moon). It was super cool and amazing to see how the moon can change colors! The moon was red, which I really don’t see too often. Did any of you get to see the Eclipse?
Thanks for all the support and kindness that has been given to me. I am grateful for each one of you too. Love you all and have a great Spiritual Week!
